Weight: Weight is a measure of the force of gravity acting on a body.  It is a force and therefore is equal to mass and the constant of acceleration; 9.8m/s/s.  As stated earlier, in this lecture, mass is not the same as weight.  For example, your mass will not change when standing on earth and the moon whereas your weight will be considerably less on the moon.  Therefore, your inertia is also not different on the moon.  For more details on weight please click this link.  The information in the link will also be relevant during week 13.  Take a moment and complete sample problem 3.1 in your text.
