2.NBT.A.2 | Understanding Place Value: Counting and Patterns in the Number System

Welcome to the Grade 2 DEMO Understanding Place Value module! This module addresses the Common Core State Standards of Mathematics Number and Operations in Base Ten domain. This domain states that students should use place value understanding and properties of operations to add and subtract.

Each module within the academy includes the following three steps. To best experience what a module is like, please follow these steps:

Watch

The module video lecture the main portion of each module. Video lectures range in length, but are on average about 20 minutes. The video lecture includes direct instruction, review of articles read, and a variety of application assignments.

Each module quiz contain five auto-corrected questions and three application questions to be graded by your instructor. Students are encouraged to complete the reading and all other tasks required within the module before beginning this assessment as some of the materials required during the watch portion will be asked for here. The quiz has a 60 minute time limit.
