Prepare for our discussion course sections, by doing all the assigned reading, watching the assigned lectures and taking a quiz (if assigned) beforeclass.
Engage in class discussions through the Zoom meetings, as well as posting ideas and responding to posts by others in the discussion boards.
Keep an open mind, be supportive of each other, and chase your curiosities.
Ask lots of questions. If you don't like speaking up on dull Zoom calls (i.e. class), then post them on the discussion board or in the chat windows. Help each other out by answering each other's questions... or when you discover the answer to your own question, post it too! If I miss a discussion post or a chat, bring it to my attention or try to answer it yourself.
Take notes (I recommend by hand) of readings and lecture, and revisit them.
When to look for what?
Watch the assigned lecture and do the assigned reading prior to the our class meeting for which it is assigned.
Complete the quiz prior to lecture (these can be repeated to get the highest score you want). However, they are due at 10 AM before class so that you actually do the reading and watch the lectures so we can have a meaningful discussion.
