How to be Successful in this Course

How to be Successful in this Course

Top Tips

  1. Prepare for our discussion course sections, by doing all  the assigned reading, watching the assigned lectures and taking the quiz before class.
  2. Engage in class discussions through the Zoom meetings, as well as posting ideas and responding to posts by others in the discussion boards.
  3. Keep an open mind, be supportive of each other, and chase our curiosities.
  4. Treat the assignments like a professional job you were charging a paying client to do (typical starting restoration professional practitioners make $25 to $35/hour and bill out at $75 to $125/hour).

When to look for what?

  • Watch the assigned lecture and do the assigned reading prior to the Tuesday Class on which it is assigned.
  • Complete the quiz prior to lecture (these can be repeated to get the highest score you want). However, they are due on Tuesday at 1:30 PM before class so that you actually do the reading and watch the lectures so we can have a meaningful discussion.
  • The one big assignment is due on the Friday after our last (third) course meeting.
