Primary Assignment: The planning process covers several components of adaptive management but not all.  The restoration planning document was built off a report template created by Joe Wheaton in google docs.  I have taken that template and added some sections that include the components that start to turn the restoration plan into an adaptive management plan for low-tech process-based restoration. The assignment for next class is for each person to expand the restoration plan to include a conceptual model that is important component of an adaptive management plan.  

You will need to create a conceptual model as a figure similar to what has been presented (also an example in the google document) that houses your hypotheses as to how the restoration will achieve project goals and objectives. Write a maximum one page description of your conceptual model that explicitly states both expected (depicted in your figure) and alternative hypotheses (this may not be in your figure).  

Although I have presented conceptual models in lectures for Bridge and Asotin IMW, do not just substitute these for the conceptual model for your project.  Create a new figure with narrative that is more specific to the problem, goals, and objectives for your project.  The mechanisms identified in this model should drive your hypotheses and what to monitor.
