Module 1 Assignment - Watch Lectures & Complete Exercises

This assignment consists of two tasks in two parts.  See the topic page Links to an external site. for all materials.  The first task is you will watch a series of lectures totaling just over 2 hours:

1. Part 1 - Traditional Restoration Design Links to an external site. (46 min)

2. Part 2 - Geomorphic Principles Primer Links to an external site. (1 hour 20 min)

The first part is just some review of the design process, with the concepts of grading plans introduced and design hypothesis testing elaborated.

The second part,  I broke up into five 4 to 30 minute mini lectures that have individual exercises in them. We used to take about 2.5 to 3 hours in class to do these, but that included lecture, discussion and the exercises. Task 2 is for you to complete the exercises associated with Part 2. I suggest either:

Printing out the PDF and drawing on it and scanning it in and submitting as PDF OR drawing in the PDF if you have the right software. Either will suffice. Submit your exercises for credit in this assignment.
