- Submitting a file upload
- File Types pdf
You already have a complete planning and design report. Please now wrap up the final project with :
- As-Built Documentation
- A complex map of what type of structures were built where
- Annotated and captioned images of construction and reflection in text on what worked and what didn't
- A summary structure table for complex(es) built of structures built (types, counts)
- Documentation of immediate responses (as-built) to indicator table values (i.e. adding an as-built column to your indicator table)
- Recommended Future Phases
- You will no doubt want to recommend the completion of your phase 1 design for the downstream complexes and reaches
- You will need to address on a reach-by-reach basis, how many phases you anticipate it might take to get to recovery potential
Some of you have asked about the Adaptive Management Plan. You do not need to complete this, but if you are interested, it can be done reasonably concisely (even reusing some of the basic adaptive management figures from book like Figure 3.19, Appendix 3G Figure 3.39, 3.40).
- An Adaptive Management Plan, which includes:
- Conceptual Model & Project Hypotheses (in addition to ZOI Design Hypotheses and indicator level hypotheses already in your report)
- Monitoring & Maintenance recommendations necessary to test those hypotheses
- Trigger points for maintenance or next-phase actions (see these figures Links to an external site., that you can modify)
You can prepare an Adaptive Beaver Management Plan modeled loosely after the Portugal et al. (2015) Pine Creek Plan in §8.

You may wish to look at examples of adaptive beaver management plans :

Remember, the above four reports are all licensed with Creative Commons Attribution licenses, so you can reuse materials in those reports as long as you cite it accordingly (failing to cite appropriately would represent actual plagiarism). So, here's what that translates to:
- If you use any of the reports as a 'template' for outline, structure and organization, or if hole sections are copied and edited, include in your acknowledgements a clear explanation of what was copied (i.e. what sections), and whether it was copied and edited) and an explicit citation.
- If you use any of the figures or tables, in the captions, make sure you include in the caption (at end typically) a direct citation (e.g. either "Copied from Figure X from Shahverdian et al. (2016)." or "Figure adapted from Figure X of Shahverdian et al. (2016).").
- If you wish to quote specific text in any document, provide a specific citation e.g. - Shahverdian et al. (2016, p 16) reported: "Beaver dams are wet."
WHAT TO SUBMIT:
You should submit an updated final version of your report with the implementation of phase 1 added to it and (optionally) above adaptive management and monitoring plan sections added to it. Please submit this plan by Friday April 30. Please submit this one as a PDF.
