Final Project Site Selection

For the Final Project Links to an external site., you will be reading six to eight contrasting riverscapes in a watershed of your choosing. This is a pacing assignment to help get you feedback on choosing good sites in a suitable watershed.  

Please submit a URL to an interactive web map (e.g. My Maps Links to an external site. in Google or Google Earth Links to an external site. or geoJSON Links to an external site.) that shows you're three or four proposed riverscapes to characterize (as polygons with lateral extents representing valley bottom and upstream and downstream boundaries of reach).  If you choose places that you will not be visiting during the rest of the semester, please provide comments explaining either a) when you visited them last and convincing me you have the familiarity to overcome not being able to read it in person on the ground or b) why you can "read" it well enough from imagery alone. 

I will just be looking to make sure that you can do most of the "reading" from readily available data (e.g. good imagery) and/or that you can or have visited the sites and have adequate information to complete the mapping and assessments.
